He is a regular speaker for a range of private and professional bodies and is a published author of a number of legal textbooks. Patrick is passionate about helping business owners grow their business and ultimately achieve maximum value upon their retirement. Ian Gray

Ian is a specialist in business succession planning, exit strategy advice and business risk management and was the proprietor of Ian Gray Solicitor (trading as Complete Succession) until merging with Clover Law in 2022. He has over 40 years of legal experience and was responsible for developing the innovative Business Insurance Trust Agreement in 1987, a unique structure which allows business people and high net worth individuals to deal with all business, personal and self-managed superannuation insurance needs on one insurance policy, using the 'One Page, One Policy' strategy. Ian was first admitted as a solicitor in 1981 and has extensive experience in commercial, banking, insolvency, taxation, intellectual property and insurance law, having acted for a variety of banks, financial institutions, multinational companies and semi-governmental bodies. As a journalist and writer, he has also interviewed many artists, including Graham Chapman of Monty Python fame. Ian has been conducting presentations about succession planning at industry conferences and seminars since 1987.

Hannah Whippy

Hannah is an estate planning lawyer with more than 20 years of experience gained at both national and boutique law firms. She spent over a decade at a national firm and four years at a boutique practice before joining Clover Law in August 2020. Hannah is passionate about working with clients and their trusted advisers in helping them achieve their objectives in relation to their estate planning and asset protection. Hannah has a particular interest in supporting clients through the complexities of estate administration and offers a compassionate approach during a process that can often be emotional and overwhelming. Despite what her name might suggest, Hannah is not related to the famous ice cream man. She is, however, a third-generation lawyer, with her passion for the law beginning at a very young age. Outside of her legal career, Hannah is a dedicated supporter of the Canberra Raiders in the NRL and enjoys playing social basketball. She is also a proud mother to three beautiful children.

Jade Duncan

As an estate planning lawyer with almost 10 years of experience assisting clients to achieve their succession and asset protection goals, Jade has the knowledge and empathic approach to guide clients through what can, for many people, seem like a daunting task. Jade is passionate about educating clients as to the value of a well-crafted estate plan and how taking the time to be engaged in the process will leave clients feeling reassured not only that their legacy is protected, but that their loved ones will receive the care and guidance they need. Jade has presented for the National Council of Women of Queensland (NCWQ) as part of their empowerment series, to provide education to women of all ages and circumstances about the importance of estate planning. She has also appeared as a panellist to discuss the interplay between estate planning, tax and financial planning issues organised by NCWQ to encourage women to take control of their financial independence and be engaged in their financial lives. Outside of her legal career, Jade is a creative who favours working with textiles, having designed and made bespoke garments for musicians, brides and freelance clients.

Angela is the newest member of the Clover Law team and is dedicated to building a long-lasting personal relationship with her clients. Angela has been working in the legal industry for over a decade, as a specialist estate planning paralegal and more recently as a trust manager. Her friendly and approachable nature is complemented by her highly developed interpersonal skills. Behind her experience is a strong educational background in law, ensuring she has the necessary skills and professionalism to assist her clients.
